I'm tired, bored and having nothing to share.

What can i say? I simply don't have the same level of exuberance some days. Although there could be other reasons behind it, I like to think that I simply need more sleep.

I can't believe i missed out on Sleep Awareness Week.

Summer is coming up fast. Time to get the backyard in shape for fun & games.

As mentioned before; while Phish took a hiatus, solo projects abounded. Trey Anastasio put together a new band and cut an album. He also toured a bit and is about to release a live album called "Plasma". If you are wondering which song is from what show, Click here.

Recently, a good friend turned us on to a great magazine.
Mother Jones is liberal as hell and makes no apologies about it. Then again, neither do I. This is the kind of reporting we need to see more of in the United States.

Not much to share with you today except:
I Love The White Stripes!
Their new album is great but, so are all of their other records. (Yes, I said records...)

Admit it. You've always wanted to be an astronaut.

Perhaps someday you can be- without having to deal with NASA's pesky qualifications. Some folks are building their own space craft.

The question is, "Who'll get there first?"

Here in the United States one is supposed to be able to say anything about anything and to say it anywhere he/she wants to speak. Including the Internet. The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) wants to ensure that our rights don't get trampled in the relatively new medium of Internet.

Many are concerned that the "Patriot Act" endangers basic rights. The Electronic Privacy Information Center tracks a number of worrisome isues. Things seem to have gotten so bad that local jurisdictions are trying to stand up and resist!

Got something to say but you don't know how?
Try Morse Code! Or perhaps the tech-g33k in you would prefer binary.
If those are too cryptic, there's always Jive, Redneck, Cockney, Elmer Fudd, Swedish Chef, Moron, Pig Latin, or Hacker!
You can even read Websites in other dialects.

Now that tax day is behind us, adults across the US can get back to more important things such as reality television. In case there isn't enough reality in your television, how about a reality movie? Isn't the word for that documentary? Perhaps there is a more colorful word for it.

Regardless, there's no point arguing about movie trivia anymore. The answer is (and has been for ages) at The Internet Movie Database (imdb.com).

When bands don't want to break up or embark on endless farewell tours, They declare a 'haitus'. Sometimes, that has dire consequences; as was the case of Blues Traveler's bassist Bobby Sheehan. For the record, Bobby was my favorite part of that band...

Some groups however, use their time off wisely. Members of Phish spent time with Vida Blue, Oysterhead, Pork Tornado, and Leo Kottke before getting back together in late 2002.

The Black Crowes optimistically call their split a 'hiatus'. Meanwhile, the brothers Robinson pursue solo projects.

Links.

The core notion of the World Wide Web is based on links. Everybody's got them or wants them (The ones I used to have are still all here.) More intelligent search engines such as Google (who does not pay me, I'm just a fan) can even search to see who links to whom (try it! Search "link:www.furthurnet.org".)

Sometimes, though links can get insanely long. TinyUrl can turn this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2522826479&category=1593 into this: http://tinyurl.com/9aun. Cool, huh?

Bit Torrent is becoming the new thing in high-speed file sharing these days. Me, I'm into sharing Live, Legally Traded music for which, FurthurNet is still my favorite place to go. But, I still check out Etree.org from time to time - You should too.
If you want to try Bit Torrent, This guy has a Medeski, Martin & Wood show.

So... Here it is.
The All New Website.
Notice anything missing? Of course you do.
I got rid of all the useless (to me) clutter. I'll be posting things of interest here in this space blog-style (hey, everybody's blogging these days.)

In the spirit of the new beginning i'll turn you on to one of the few links which I've kept on the site: Memepool. Those guys are great and it's one of the few sites I visit nearly every day.
